I teach from ages 3 - adult, and am a registered RCM teacher who can assist with exams if desired.

More about Grace!

Early Teaching Experience
As the oldest of five children in a homeschooling family, I gained valuable teaching experience from a young age by helping my mom with my siblings' lessons of all subjects. This early exposure to childhood education taught me the importance of patience, creativity, and adaptability—skills that now inform my piano teaching style.

Lifelong Passion for Piano
I began piano lessons at the age of 4, laying the foundation for a lifelong love of music. Along the way, I completed RCM exams, participated and won several competitions in the Kiwanis Festival (now CPA Festival), and performed in the worship band at Centre Street Church. At university, I tackled advanced repertoire in juries, further honing my skills. Today, I continue to perform whenever I can and take regular lessons to ensure I’m always growing as a musician and teacher.

Party Entertainment
While in university, I worked as a princess party entertainer with Princess Parties with Mimi, where I sang and coordinated activities for large gatherings. This role sharpened my organizational skills, built confidence in public settings, and gave me experience creating engaging and memorable experiences for children and families. I thank this role for many ideas I now apply in my teaching technique.
More about Silvia!

Running
Silvia loves to run in her free time and recently completed her first half marathon ever. She enjoys the mental and self-coaching aspects of running, the freshness of the air after a run, and the feeling of meeting new personal bests. Coaching herself through a run is similar in many ways to coaching herself through a long practice session, and she aims to bring her encouraging and committed coaching style to her lessons as well.

Writing
Silvia fell in love with writing as a child and still writes poems, essays, and short stories in her free time. She has published a few pieces and won a few small contests, but mostly writes for the joy of it. Since music is a type of storytelling, she hopes to pass along skills and knowledge to her students so they can tell their own stories and connect with the full range of experience and emotion that music can express.
